Longhorn Competitive Teams: Raiders, Drill & Color Guard

Competitive teams are one of the best ways for Lennard Army JROTC cadets to challenge themselves, build confidence, and learn to perform as part of a team. Raiders, Drill, and Color Guard each demand discipline, commitment, communication, and trust. Cadets train together, represent Lennard High School, and develop skills that carry into the classroom, future careers, and everyday life.

Raiders

Raiders challenges cadets through physical fitness, endurance, teamwork, and problem-solving. Events may include obstacle courses, team runs, strength-based tasks, and other activities that require cadets to work together under pressure.

Drill Team

Drill Team develops precision, discipline, confidence, and attention to detail. Cadets learn to perform coordinated movements as a team while representing the Longhorn Battalion at competitions and special events.

Color Guard

Color Guard gives cadets the opportunity to represent Lennard High School and Army JROTC at athletic events, ceremonies, community activities, and other special occasions. It emphasizes professionalism, teamwork, attention to detail, and pride in representing the Longhorn Battalion.
