Army JROTC gives students the opportunity to build confidence, develop leadership skills, challenge themselves, and become part of a team. At Lennard High School, cadets take part in leadership activities, physical fitness, competitive teams, community service, school events, and other experiences that help prepare them for success after graduation. JROTC is open to students from all backgrounds, and participation does not require a commitment to join the military.

Build Confidence and Leadership
Cadets are given real opportunities to lead, make decisions, communicate with others, and take responsibility. These experiences help students become more confident both inside and outside the classroom.
Find Your Team
JROTC offers opportunities to get involved through Raiders, Drill, Color Guard, physical fitness, community service, leadership positions, and special events. Cadets can find an area where they can contribute and grow.
Prepare for What Comes Next
The skills developed in JROTC are useful no matter what path a student chooses after high school. Cadets build teamwork, communication, problem-solving, goal-setting, and leadership skills that can help in college, careers, technical training, or military service.
No Military Obligation
Joining Army JROTC does not mean joining the military. JROTC is a high school leadership and citizenship program designed to help students become better prepared for their future.
