WHAT IS DRILL TEAM?
Drill Team gives cadets the opportunity to develop precision, discipline, confidence, teamwork, and attention to detail through military drill and ceremony. Cadets train to execute coordinated movements while representing Lennard High School Army JROTC at competitions, ceremonies, school events, and other special activities.
Drill Team training emphasizes military bearing, communication, synchronization, leadership, and pride in performance.

WHO CAN JOIN?
Drill Team is open to Lennard Army JROTC cadets who are willing to learn, practice consistently, and work as part of a team. Previous drill experience is not required. Cadets should be prepared to develop their skills through repetition, attention to detail, and consistent participation.
Team members are expected to maintain good standing in school and JROTC, demonstrate positive conduct, attend practices consistently, and support their teammates.

PRACTICE & TRAINING
Drill Team practices focus on developing precision, military bearing, synchronization, command presence, and teamwork. Training may include regulation drill, exhibition drill, inspection preparation, marching sequences, and event-specific preparation.

COMPETITIONS & PERFORMANCES
Throughout the school year, Drill Team cadets may represent the Longhorn Battalion at JROTC competitions, school ceremonies, community events, parades, and other special performances. These opportunities allow cadets to demonstrate the discipline, teamwork, and precision developed through training.
